MUEES hosts social and professional events, e.g. networking events, games nights, study sessions, & more, to connect environmental engineering students with their peers, academics and professional

The Environmental Engineers’ Society is a platform bringing together students undertaking, planning to undertake or simply interested in Environmental Engineering.  In affiliation from the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU), we aim to bring together sustainability enthusiasts from the university as well as industry together in a socially friendly environment.

The society anticipated to start in early 2015 aims to bring together Master of Engineering, Bachelor of Environments, and students from other similar courses. We aim to organize weekly activities such as study sessions, career/subject selection advice sessions, industry nights and guest speakers, annual balls, barbeques, community outings, work together with local environmental non-profit organisations and many other exciting projects!

Club Aims:

  1. To provide grounds for students studying environmental engineering to meet like-minded people in a social environment.
  2. To provide a network base for younger students who are considering the course to gain an insight.
  3. To allow students to interact with industry representatives.
  4. To promote principles of sustainability through participating in community programs in affiliation with not-for-profit organisations.
  5. To provide additional academic assistance to new students in the course.
