Interprofessional Education and Practice Health Students Network

The aims of IPEP-HSN include linking health students prior to entering the workplace through educational and social networking events.

The University of Melbourne’s Interprofessional Education and Practice Health Students’ Network (IPEP HSN) is the first of its kind in Australia. This Network brings together representatives from all health disciplines from within the University, as well as input from various disciplines from other Victorian universities.

The aims of the Network include curriculum reviews and development, creation of interprofessional education opportunities and events, and linking health students prior to entering the workplace.

The HSN feeds directly into the Faculty’s Interprofessional Education and Practice Committee, with the President having a permanent role on the committee.

Collaboration starts now.

Club Aims:

  1. To link students from all health disciplines across the University, and to develop and foster early relationships between students from these disciplines.
  2. To provide a platform for early collaboration and communication across the different health disciplines.
  3. To promote interprofessional practice of students, with the goal to facilitate and improve future teamwork and patient care.
  4. To assist students in developing mutual respect and an appreciation of the unique skills and knowledge that each professional brings to an inter-disciplinary team.
