We are calling for all of you to come and join us in Get Trivial with UMSU International where you will encounter the most challenging and thought-provoking questions in a variety of categories :
🎨Arts & Literature📖, 🎬Entertainment🎢, 🏔Geography🌋, 🏛General knowledge🌍 and a ❓Mystery❓ category.
Take part in various trivia games as teams and use your brains and teamwork skills to win it all!
Get Trivial with UMSU International will occur in the span of 3 days, sign up for one day for a chance to be crowned as the champion of the ultimate trivia night! 👑

Keep Calm and Trivia On! 🤩
UMSU International Co-Opted Education Officers shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Education sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Vice-President (Education and Welfare) and UMSU International Education Director on issues and activities related to the education and rights of Members;
(c) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(d) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
UMSU International Co-Opted Welfare Officers shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Welfare sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Vice-President (Education and Welfare) and UMSU International Welfare Director on issues and activities related to the welfare and rights of Members;
(c) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(d) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
UMSU International Co-Opted Cultural and Social Officers shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Cultural and Social sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Vice-President (Cultural and Social) and UMSU International Cultural and Social Director on issues and activities related to the cultural and social well-being of Members in the University;
(c) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(d) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
UMSU International Co-Opted Media and Communications Officer shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Media and Communications sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Media and Communications Director on issues and activities related to publicity of UMSU International;
(c) be expected to have experience in social media management (experience in design and/or photography is a plus)
(d) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(e) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
UMSU International Co-Opted Human Resources Officer shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Human Resources sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Human Resources Director in affairs related to the International Student Ambassador (ISA) Program and improving or maintaining relationships between members of UMSU International Central;
(c) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(d) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
UMSU International Co-Opted Partnership and Sponsorship Officer shall:
(a) be members of the UMSU International Partnership and Sponsorship sub-committee;
(b) assist the UMSU International Partnership and Sponsorship Director in issues and activities related to liaison with both internal and external organisations relative to University;
(c) assist in handling all general affairs of UMSU International; and
(d) take up special assignments when so entrusted by the UMSU International Central.
The response from Thursday’s Student Services carnival has been awesomesauce!!!! A lot of promising jaffies in sight. All the best to these amazing students and a big welcome from us in UMSU International!!!
Friday’s Food Adventure was a tasty success and Saturday’s Melbourne Adventure was a race to the pinnacle of fun. Tomorrow is our Lounge Party, so drop by the Intl Lounge to meet friends, play games and eat some.

“Co-option is when our acting committee hold interviews to hand-pick the best and the brightest from a list of applicants. Co-option is generally extremely competitive so it’s recommended that one have experience relevant to the roll they are applying to.”
Requirements for running for Co-option:
All students of the University of Melbourne are eligible to run for co-option.

UMSU International is holding its Annual General Election for UMSU International Committee 2015/2016.
UMSU International is the peak representative body of all international students in University of Melbourne. The current committee has been working hard for the welfare of international students and now it is your turn to take charge and be involved.

The nomination form is in International student lounge (2nd floor, Union House). Please submit the form with a copy of your student ID card. Australia or New Zealand Citizen or PR can run for certain positions.**
The candidates will present a speech regarding their self and their policy. All international students are encouraged to attend this session and ask questions.
