“We may hail from a tiny island but we are here to occupy a huge place in your heart”

The Mauritian Student Society, originally founded in 2019, is a club whose goal is to bring together people from different backgrounds to experience the culture of Mauritius. Our island is located in the Indian Ocean and is the home of the dodo! We have a culturally diverse nation, which is reflected in our celebrations! From Easter to Eid to Divali, we will be welcoming you to come to celebrate with us. We are happy to receive anyone who’s keen to learn more about Mauritius through parties, food tasting events, and music! The more, the merrier, so join our club today!

Our aims as a club include:

a) To build a friendly, warm, and welcoming environment for both Mauritian and
non-Mauritian students.
b) To provide a rich cultural insight about Mauritius by providing Mauritian food and
celebrating festivities, so people can learn more about our country.
c) To help students build social connections with others through our events and ensure
they feel a sense of belonging.
d) To organize events that are fun, exciting, and which can help students to de-stress.
