UMSU Women’s Department and UMSU Creative Arts Department are proud to present Paint to the Princess Diaries!
As part of UMSU Welfare‘s Stress Less Week we are gathering in the arts lab to make some art while enjoying the early 2000s classic The Princess Diaries
Cause what better way to de-stress then by watching a classic feel-good, coming-of-age movie while painting!

This is a non-autonomous event for all the beautiful, creative princesses out there

The Women’s and Creative Arts Departments acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which this event will take place, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge their elders past and present and pay our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in attendance.

All Day Queer Study Group

In theory we’re all here at uni to study, and we know everything is better if it’s queer – so here at the Queer Department we have started end-of-semester study days! In weeks 11, 12, and SWOTVAC, we provide a space to hole up with a cup of coffee, all your queer mates, and smash out some study away from the crowded/heterosexual nonsense of the big libraries.

The first Queer Study Group is a part of UMSU’s Stress Less Week! Make sure to come say hello at 2pm to the cutest queerest therapy DOGS you’ll ever see. Yes, that’s right, DOGS. GAY DOGS. DOGS FOR GAYS. Studying just got so much better.

This is an autonomous event.

The Queer Department would like to acknowledge that this event takes place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and future and acknowledge that this land was stolen, and sovereignty was never ceded.

Happy Feet – Movie Screening

Rug up and beat the cold with a heartwarming evening of Happy Feet! In time-honoured UMSU tradition, we’ll be showing this award winning modern classic with a near-endless supply of FREE PIZZA.

So grab some friends, make some new ones, take a few hours away from study burnout and get happy! Brought to you by UMSU Education andUMSU Welfare as part of Stress Less Week.

Brought to you by the SSAF.

Week 11 is Stress Less Week and there’s nothing like a bit of DIY to de-stress before exams come to metaphorically microwave your brain!

Us at the UMSU Enviro Department believe that de-stressing through DIY can also work to de-stress our planet from plastic pollution, so we’re here to show you how to make reusable food wraps to keep all your study snacks secure.

Come along, learn how to make some planet-friendly pockets for your produce, and meet some Enviro Collective members!

All materials will be provided 🙂

This event is being held on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and this land remains Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging.
