UMSU Host Program Volunteer Registration Deadline!
The UMSU Host Program is back smaller, more COVID-safe but better than ever.
UMSU’s Host Program is all about welcoming new students to uni life here at the University of Melbourne. It’s a program run by students, for students, taking place during orientation week alongside the Melbourne Peer Mentoring Program.
You probably remember your first weeks at uni (and maybe even your Host Tour); scary, bewildering and confusing! As a knowledgeable unimelb student (a.k.a not a jaffy), this is your chance to change all that. Pass on your secret tips for hacking uni from the top coffee spots to the quietest libraries or even just how to boss at online uni.
As a volunteer host, you will be leading Peer Mentor groups on a faculty-specific tour of the campus. This will include fun getting-to-know-you games and will be a great opportunity to better get to know new students within your faculty.
You will be specially matched to lead a tour of first years from your faculty so invite your friends to sign-up as well and reconnect with those long-forgotten uni mates on campus.
In these ~uNpRECedEntED tImEs~ this is a terrific opportunity to get involved on campus. You’ll get sweet merch, meet new peeps (in person!) and maybe even clock some hours towards your Leaders in Community Award!
Don’t miss this chance to get back on campus for one day before you finish your degree!
Sign up before midnight on the 27th of January : http://bit.ly/UMSUHost21

The UMSU Host Program acknowledges the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners of the land upon which we live, work, and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
