UMSU MENTORING NETWORK is teaming up with UMSU HOST PROGRAM and UMSU DESTINATION MELBOURNE in one of the biggest event of WinterFest; The Masked Singer!!!!

Come join us at this FREE and amazing Karaoke Night at the IDA BAR with free food for all students and all dietary needs including gluten free, halal, vegan and vegetarian. This will be a great way to meet new friends and superstars, have a laugh or two and relax before uni starts!

There will be some great music, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) as well as some fancy consumes and dance moves!

Wondering what is Freshers’ Launchpad all about? This event is aimed primarily at the new international students who are new to the University and the city of Melbourne. We will be providing them with a chance to interact with UMSU International’s Office Bearers (OBs) and International Student Ambassadors (ISAs) and get peer-to-peer advice on university and university services. These could include forging new friendships, faculty-specific advice and the services available to students provided by the University.

Don’t miss out this opportunity to mingle and socialise with the international student community!

Winterfest 2019: Food Adventure

Honestly, every new student just wants to know one thing: the best places to get some scrumptious food. Kamusta! The Melbourne University Filipino Student’s Association (MUFSA) will be holding its very first event for the semester! This event will be a movie night and the first of many! While this is a MUFSA event, non-members of the club are more than welcome to come by and attend!

Then, an acknowledgement of country before a hearty panel discussion on designing a campus free of food waste, creating future food systems and potential careers in relevant sectors. We’ll be joined by panellists including Dutch sustainability expert Joost Bakker, members of the OzHarvest team, the Fair Food Challenge and student reps from UMSU!
