AIESEC in Melbourne

AIESEC in Melbourne offers the best platform for leadership development in young people. Through working with students and industry professionals to deliver cross-cultural exchanges for youth around the world, we empower our members to transform a passion for social change into the skills and experiences they need to make a real impact both now and in the future.

Founded in 1964, we are a local chapter of AIESEC International, the world’s largest youth-run organisation present in over 126 countries and partnered with more than 5,000 organisations around the globe. We are a non-political, independent, and not-for-profit organisation focused on making a difference towards global issues by developing one person at a time into a leader that the world needs.

Across the year, AIESEC in Melbourne runs global volunteering exchanges to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and leadership events designed to enhance students’ confidence and capability to take action. We believe that every young person has the potential to make an impact, and we facilitate this by providing a challenging but supportive environment for students to take risks, innovate in their work, and fail freely in order to learn.

Club Aims:

  1. To provide an international platform (in over 113 countries and territories) for young people to explore and develop their leadership skills.
  2. To provide students with community volunteering and professional internship internationally for self-development and community impact.
  3. To create local projects on cultural awareness while hosting AIESEC volunteers coming to Melbourne to facilitate such projects.
  4. To provide leadership development for members through training workshops, conferences, and event and project management.
