Big Data Analysis Club

Keeping in mind that data and big data analytics are becoming the life’s blood of business, we formed Big Data Analytics Group. The club aims to understand the industry practices and professional techniques to perform Big Data Analysis by the students. Having an information technology (IT) background is beneficial as IT graduates are skilled at information handling and programming. Core skills of analysing, visualizing and communicating data are not limited to IT professionals. As the path to becoming a good data analyst is both an art and science, the club also aims to integrate non-IT-background graduates with the most widely used field of data analysis.

Club Aims:

  1. To provide educational content via the means of lectures, events and seminars, related to Big Data and its analysis.
  2. To provide a pathway for a smoother transformation and transition of graduates in their career role by introducing the industry techniques.
  3. To encourage networking amongst current students with the industry professionals.
  4. To help students understand the industry practices and professional techniques in understanding and performing Big Data Analysis.
  5. To integrate non-IT-background graduates with the most demanding and most widely used field of data analysis. This in turn will provide the graduates knowledge outside their field of study and will help them to enhance their learning.
