Biological Society of the University of Melbourne (BSUM)

The Biological Society of the University of Melbourne (BSUM) is a student group devoted to bringing biology students together from the myriad Biological disciplines as well advocating on behalf of the students to a number of faculties at the university. We run many social events throughout the year as well as educational events where students can meet researchers, clinicians and postgraduate students. We also produce various materials to help students pick classes, majors and prepare for their future careers.

Club Aims

  1. To promote the intellectual; advancement of biology students at the University of Melbourne.
  2. To support biology students throughout their studies at the University.
  3. To provide an opportunity the like-minded students to apply biology in practice via excursions, projects, experiments, etc.
  4. To raise awareness of biology and biology-related issues within the University.
  5. To represent students to the School of Biosciences, School of Veterinary Science and Agriculture, and the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.
