Oaktree Club (Melbourne University)

The Oaktree Foundation is an aid and development organisation run entirely by volunteers under 26.

We’re doing something real about poverty.

At Oaktree we raise awareness in the community by running programs and events, we lobby the government and fundraise for our overseas projects.

We have partnered with developing communities in 6 countries to provide over 40,000 young people with increased educational opportunities. We believe that education is the most powerful force we have to change the world.

Club Aims:

  1. Encourage Government and community to adhere to UN Millennium Development Goals.
  2. Empower developing communities, by fundraising for educational projects overseas.
  3. Through youth run activities, educate and empower the youth at Melbourne University about issues of poverty and development.
  4. To use the education of Melbourne University students as a platform to support campaigns and create initiatives aimed at ending extreme poverty and global injustice.
