Saints in Melbourne

Saints in Melbourne is a student club set up by Melbourne University Students who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Saints in Melbourne was formed to promote spiritual well-being, foster and strengthen friendships and uphold Church standards.  The club welcomes all people regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.  Saint in Melbourne will hold regular religious education sessions which explore the churches beliefs and how to live a more Christlike life as well as social events.

Club Aims:

  1. To inspire students to be better members of society by teaching principles such as the importance of the family, by obtaining knowledge of all kinds, and by developing characteristics of faith, hope and charity as taught by Jesus Christ in sacred texts such as the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon.
  2. To relive stress that students experience by helping them understand their purpose in life and by developing their hope for a successful future.
  3. To build lasting relationships between foreign and local students through friendly and uplifting activities, helping students to feel connected to the University and to various cultures.
  4. To provide opportunities for students to share experiences with others while enhancing their creativity and willingness/capacity to express their thoughts.
