1 Comment on CLAS20029 Latin 3
Latin 3 is the entry point for those who studied it at school. Those who didn’t enter at level 1, and will have some catching up to do on grammar, syntax and vocab. Latin 3/4 is a broad subject, with assessment on translation (seen and unseen), grammar and cultural understanding. Each iteration of the subject focuses on a particular author, creating a ‘luck of the draw’ situation but also exposing you to a broad range of literature. Effort makes this subject rewarding. Latin 5/6 is much the same but more advanced. Dictionaries are removed (the horror!), but the small cohort provides ample opportunity to seek help from the academics.
