1 Comment on PHRM30008 Drugs: From Discovery to Market
Rad subject. Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are the best and they take up 8 lectures so you have far less content to revise for. If you like that stuff, and you like science and phrm20001, then it's pretty easy. Got 90+. First few lectures are drug targets which is cool. 8 lectures next on PK and PD which is cool. Some lectures on biological therapies and new frontiers kinda stuff which is pretty cool. Lectures on regulation and clinical trials are a little boring, but you don't realise how useful they are until you enter the world outside of university and realise they actually apply to practical situations outside of the world of science. That being said those lectures are still boring, but at least they're barely assessed. MST was straightforwards, worth 15%. Assignment is quite long and hard. But very good experience and will look good if you do it well and put it on your CV. Good experience for lit reviews in research. And it's not worth much so that's nice (draft submission 3%, final copy 8%). Final exam worth 70%.
