Welcome to COSDU's Week 9 Session!
✨ Social Justice with the Salesian Sisters ✨
In the spirit of charity, COSDU is coming together with the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco to learn about their missionary work in the Asia Pacific 🫂🏝️ and to be inspirered to have more generous hearts 💝 Our guests this week are Sr. Ljudmila, and two postulants; Sr. Betty from Solomon Islands and Sr. Terisa from Samoa 🏝️
Sr Ljudmila will talk to us about the charitable works of the Salesian Sisters and her personal missionary work of 14 years in Cambodia, and 1 year in Samoa. Sisters Betty and Terisa will share their cultures with us in a performance of song and dance! 💃
Throughout the night, we'll learn about opportunities for us to volunteer in education and teaching abroad with the Salesian Sisters 🧑🏫 and if God has placed the desire on our hearts, sponsor a child’s education 📚
🍚 The night will start with dinner at 6:20pm in St Mary's West Hall
🎤 Followed by a Social Justice presentation by the Salesian Sisters
We'll also be preparing mini packages of holy items to donate and send with the sisters to their communities in Solomon Island and Samoa. 📦 We encourage you to bring small and light donations of -
1. Creative work: message cards, stickers, crochet, etc.
2. Holy Items:
a. Prayer Items: rosaries, chaplets, pendants, medals, necklaces, bracelets, keychains, etc,
b. Readings: pamphlets, prayer cards, thin & small prayer books, thin & small religious books, thin picture books for children, etc.
Donations can be dropped off at JPII House by 5pm this Friday or brought directly to the session 🙏
Can't wait to see you there! 😇
