Approximately 1 in 3 Australians will need blood or blood products in their lifetime. However, only 1 in 30 Australians end up donating blood every year.
We, at Oxfam Unimelb, will be making a difference in the lives of those who are in urgent need of a blood donation, through organising a blood drive with Red Cross Lifeblood Australia on the 4th and 5th of October 2024. Club members and volunteers will gather to support those in need, through donating blood.
We also aim to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donations. Hence, we encourage anyone who is eligible, to make a difference in our community by giving blood.
