Birdwatching on the Birrarung with the Melbourne University Birdwatching Society – Yarra Riverfest 2024

Join the Melbourne University Birdwatching Society (MUBS) for a unique bird watching experience along the Birrarung (Yarra River) as part of the 2024 Birrarung Riverfest. This event is designed for both seasoned birdwatchers and newcomers to explore the avian diversity of Yarra Bend Park on Wurundjeri Country.

On this guided walk, our knowledgeable MUBS members will lead you through the Park helping you identify key bird species by sight and sound. Yarra Bend Park, the largest area of natural bushland near the heart of Melbourne with a backdrop of steep river escarpments and open woodlands will provide the perfect backdrop for this 3-hour event.
