A Portrait of the Diversity of Indonesian Food

Tuesday, 21 March
The Spot, Room 2019

As part of Diversity Week, the Indonesian Studies and Language Association (ISLA) would like to invite the entire community of the University of Melbourne to celebrate the diversity of Indonesian culture and food.

Indonesian cuisine is one of the most vibrant and colourful cuisines in the world, full of intense flavour. It is diverse, in part because Indonesia is composed of approximately 6,000 populated islands with more than 300 ethnic groups calling Indonesia their home.

We would like to celebrate the Diversity of the University of Melbourne alongside the Diversity of Indonesia by inviting everyone to take part and engage with the rich culture of Indonesia at this free event. We would like to celebrate the national motto of Indonesia, “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” meaning, Unity in Diversity.
