– ‘Fun Sized’ Stanislavsky Part 1
with Guest Artist Suzie Hardgrave
Free the actor in you! Using basic components in acting practised in this specialised online class, you will build a mini-performance that is enjoyable, confident, and rewarding. This fun-sized, practical workshop with renowned acting teacher Suzie Hardgrave, introduces techniques & exercises influenced by Konstantin Stanislavsky’s System in a creative, invigorating and safe online studio setting. Imagination encouraged! Uniqueness highly desired.
When: Monday 25th May, 2:30pm – 4pm
Clothing: Wear clothing that allows freedom of movement, such as track pants or active wear.
Suzie Hardgrave specialises in acting and contemporary text-based theatre performance. With an extensive career in Australia and in United Kingdom, Suzie has worked for companies including the National Theatre of Scotland (UK), Melbourne Theatre Company (AUS), Performance Space (AUS), ABC (AUS), BBC Scotland (UK) and many more. A teacher of acting for over fifteen years, Suzie has worked with organisations such as; Victorian College of the Arts (AUS), Monash University Centre for Theatre and Performance (AUS), Deakin University (AUS), Australian Theatre For Young People (AUS), NIDA Open (AUS), Shopfront Theatre (AUS) and, Stagecoach Theatrearts (UK). Suzie is currently finishing her practice-based/practice-led doctorate in Theatre and Performance at Monash University.
Participation in Workshops and Masterclasses is open to all University of Melbourne students.
