“Your own identity and self-knowledge are the main sources for any character you may play.”
– Hagen, Respect for Acting 1973

Today, finding innovative ways of storytelling with the application of modern technology in our own homes, with our own identities is vital.

Beyond Realism invites students to explore the tension between the theatrical craft of acting and the performance environment of the internet, which sits halfway between film and television.

The project offers specific acting skills, mentorship and an ensemble training and culminates in a cyber performance.

This program is limited to a maximum of 8 students.
Some experience of acting is essential.
Applicants must be available for all dates.
