Creative Arts Collective: Rebooted
For the last four Fridays in July the UMSU Creative Arts department will bring you a series of extra special and extra fun Creative Arts Collectives. Designed especially for the Winter Break these evenings will provide a meeting place for student artists, art appreciators and kind-of-want-to-try-art-casually-but-didn’t-know-where-to-go-ers to hang out, share tales of creative woe and triumph, find potential collaborators, embark on projects, and above all, get to know each other in a relaxed environment.
The CREATIVE ARTS COLLECTIVE is a non-binding agreement to listen and be heard, a place to find and respond to others’ art, to sometimes test your work, or begin to brainstorm.
This time will be facilitated by the Creative Arts Officers Liv and Emily who will assist you during the awkward introductions stage, provide provocations for the week, and above all, create a space that is welcoming to all regardless of skill level, disciplines and interests.
Join us in our zoom room from 5:30pm for as long or as little as you like. The weekly Winter Break Collective can be joined here. The password is ARTS.
While this event may be taking place in a digital space the UMSU Creative Arts Department would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which many of us live and work: the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We would also like to acknowledge that all land of so-called “Australia” is stolen and that sovereignty was never ceded.
