Want to make theatre? Got a bunch of ideas but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you’ve got no ideas and want to know where to find them!
Join director and theatre maker Dominic Weintraub for a series of fun workshops that will help you define and develop your inner creator.
Over two sessions, explore the steps involved in making a piece of theatre, including: concept generation, poetic research, theatrical structure, and performance composition. Whether you’re a first-time maker, have the beginnings of a new performance or you’re a seasoned veteran, these labs will be accessible, playful and provide you with the structure you need to keep developing ideas long after the workshops are finished.
You can attend one or both workshops. We encourage you to attend both sessions, so you have the chance to receive more detailed feedback.
No previous experience is required.
Participation in Workshops and Masterclasses is open to all University of Melbourne students.
