The PoC Department‘s first event for Diversity Week 2018 will be a talk critiquing the tokenistic notion of diversity by Dr Yassir Morsi.

Dr Yassir Morsi is a lecturer in politics at La Trobe University and previously a post-doctoral Researcher at the International Centre for Muslim and Non-Muslim Understanding at the University of South Australia.

His main area of research is the critical analysis of contemporary racism and Islamophobia.

Dr Morsi is a regular contributor to The Guardian, and some of his books include the recent ‘Radical Skin, Moderate Masks: De-radicalising the Muslim and Racism in Post-racial Societies’.
