Filming and Editing Basics – Fully Booked

Are you making videos for the first time? Do you need to capture content and are not sure where to start? This introductory session will focus on smart phone filming, teaching you the basics to help get the best out of your footage. Learn tips and tricks on filming and editing from an industry professional. The workshop will provide practical tips and resources and is aimed at beginners.

Lesley Pinder is an award-winning filmmaker with over twenty years professional industry experience. She has directed a broad range of screen content including Australia’s long running and iconic Neighbours and Family Affairs, a daily drama series for UK television. Lesley’s short films have been selected for international film festivals, won awards and been distributed by the Australian Film Institute. She also worked for over a decade as a Script Supervisor on international feature films and television programs.


Participation is open to all University of Melbourne students.
