‘Gasland’ film screening

Ever heard the phrase ‘fracking’ before? In 2006, Josh Fox hadn’t, but he got a letter from a gas company stating they would like to do just that on the land he lived on. So he decided to investigate, and made the phenomenal documentary ‘Gasland’, whose release made fracking one of the most controversial issues in regional and rural USA, and whose story traveled across the entire world, in Australia supporting the Lock the Gate movement. We’ll be screening this feature-length film 2pm to 4pm on Thursday 12 March in Joe Napolitano A, Level 2, Union House, as part of the Melbourne Uni Environment Collective‘s Thursday films and workshops series.
