‘I Am A Girl’ Film Screening

Please join us for a free film screening of I Am A Girl during week 5 of semester 2.

This powerful film follows the lives of six girls from Australia, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Papua New Guinea and the United States, highlighting issues of gender inequality, domestic abuse, mental health and family planning.

The event will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:
– Dr Maree Pardy, School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Melbourne
– Dr Alison Morgan, Senior Technical Advisor in Maternal Health at the Nossal Institute for Global Health
– More TBC

Refreshments will be provided during the intermission and a door prize will be on offer. There will be the opportunity to connect with a variety of groups dedicated to Women’s Rights throughout the evening.
