Come join the UMSU Womenʻs Department for the International Womenʻs Day (IWD) Rally and March!
From 3:30 – 5:00 pm we will be holding a picnic on South Lawn with free snacks and refreshments. The picnic is an opportunity to meet others who plan on marching and attending the IWD March and Rally.
At 5:00 pm we will be walking to the State Library of Victoria to join the International Womenʻs Day Rally and March.
This event is a non-autonomous, meaning women, non-binary people, and allies are welcome.

We acknowledge that this event is held on the land of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri tribes of the Kulin Nations, and that sovereignty for this land was never ceded. We’d like to pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We’d also like acknowledge that sexism has disproportionately affected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and non binary people, and that they should always be at the forefront of our feminist activism.
