a live-streamed play reading presented by Club Nite Company
Inspired by 112 days in a party-less lockdown, three old friends reunite for a TGIF night out full of hilarity and chaos. With a piercing analysis of Melbourne’s distinct party scenes, CLUB NITE is a live-action meme filled with banter, costume changes, rainbow lighting, dance, and iconic club bangers. Reminiscent of sweaty lip syncs at Yah Yah’s, poorly rolled cigarettes in the hazy smokers of Revs, and frenetic dancing to throbbing techno beats at the not-so-underground park rave scene, CLUB NITE is a cathartic commentary on self-exploration and current social politics, hoping to poke fun at the weekend antics we all know, love, and have missed.
CLUB NITE at Mudfest will be more relaxed than a regular, fully rehearsed production. With our season at Melbourne Fringe upcoming in October, Mudfest will be an opportunity for us to test our material on audiences, noticing where we can improve and add more chaos for your viewing pleasure… We would also love your post-show feedback, and will provide you with an opportunity to write down any notes you may have to make this show #epik. Grab a drink and come bask with us in the horrors of the Gen Z experience, only at CLUB NITE.
