Foucault: history, politics, power – a Marxist analysis

Michel Foucault (1926-1984) was a French intellectual tremendously influential in academia and the Left. This meeting will critically examine Foucault’s work from a Marxist perspective. Can Foucalt’s theories explain power, do they stand up to historical analysis and can we use his politics to fight oppression? All welcome for a lunchtime talk and discussion.

Talk by Tom Fiebig, Solidarity student club member.
