Speed Friending with UMSU
Without being on campus, it can be hard to make university friends!
Although, goodness knows, tutors try to get chats going in break out rooms, and lecturers drum up excitement around Canvas discussion boards, it can be hard to move past academic content and onto the fun stuff so you can really find your people!
The UMSU Host Program has got you! This year, Speed Friending is BACK (just this time on Zoom). A fail-safe way to quickly make friends and you don’t even need to leave your house!
Held within the loving embrace of some of UMSU’s autonomous departments (meaning departments run by and for students who identify as part of the community the Department represents) and their Arts and Media counterparts, this Zoom event will allow you to meet like-minded, friend-seeking students.
This is a great way to engage with UMSU and your university peers from wherever you are in the world! Whether this is your 1st year or your 4th, come along, find some pals! You never know who is out there waiting for you to meet them.
Come make some friends…FAST !

The UMSU Host Program and their UMSU Departmental collaborators acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we live, work, and learn, the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging as well as to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
