Since forming in 2012, The Hard Aches brand of slacker, indie punk has honed itself into something that is unmistakably their own. Introspective, powerful lyricism lends itself to bands like Billy Bragg, Menzingers, Brand New and The Clash, dealing with important, yet somewhat rarely addressed issues like depression, anxiety, loss, and the real hunger for redemption through support and community. Whilst receiving stellar reviews, and accolades for singles “Glad That You’re Gone”, “Get Like This” and “Gutfull”, this is a band that demands to be seen live to be truly appreciated.

No stranger to stages as diverse as laundromats, lounge rooms, theatres and festivals, The Hard Aches took to the road at every chance they could get in 2016, touring with Luca Brasi, Tired Lion, and Camp Cope nationally. This community, the bands and peoplethat exist in it mean the world to them, and it’s the real driving force behind what makes The Hard Aches continue to play.

As always your mates UMSU Activities will be there serving up delicious lunch options including BBQ and veggie burgers.
