This is the first of a series of four sessions about the fundamentals of Vex Robotics and its competitive applications.

In Session 1, we will be looking at the basics of competitive robotics, digesting how seasons work, this years game “Tipping Point”, as well as going through the game manual and analysing various strategies and caveats within the rules to help develop creative thought about how to approach builds for this season.

Our first session welcomes a Special guest from North Kentucky University, with years of experience in competitive robotics, and in particular analysing strategy and the game manual. Our guest holds many impressive titles, including winning the Design award at the 2019 World Championships, winning the Excellence Award at the Kentucky State championships, as well as Robot Skills at Kentucky state.

This event is open to all University and High school students interested in competitive robotics and will be followed by a games night for club members in the Melbourne University Vex Robotics Club Discord.

Each session is expected to run for 40-60 minutes, with the games night running for an additional hour.
