Dance Democracy

What does dance democracy mean? It means everybody can get involved!

Dance Democracy is a two-week program of fun and dancing. Choreograph new works, perform for an audience, or just come in for a night of dancing and dance battle. Whether you’re a pro dancer or have two left feet, you’ll enjoy our two-week program of offerings in the Guild Theatre 31 March – 12 April.

Week 1:

Two nights of student dance celebrating our passion to move. Welcoming students from all dance

styles and genres.

Scratch night - 2nd April 6:30pm, Guild Theatre

Throw your name in the hat and get up and perform any style!

Cypher Camp - 4th April 6:30pm, Guild Theatre

Be guided by Cypher Culture’s Geoffrey Lim on how to battle it out in dance

Week 2:

Dance Democracy: Small Works - 9th+10th April 6:30pm, Guild Theatre

A two-night season dedicated to emerging choreographers across the uni. Led and devised by student choreographers this week provides space for new dance makers from all styles to showcase their passion and talent for dance.
