4. Opt in for Insta Stories takeover DUE WEDNESDAY 8 June — Due Wednesday 8 June

Signal boost your department to thousands of students following UMSU's Insta (and FB stories) for WinterFest. Email Comms to let us know you're keen by EOD Wednesday 8 June. Takeover content is due 20 June.

A gentle reminder to double-check your calendar entries for any of your Semester 2 collectives to ensure they reflect when they're actually running.

Also in preparation for Semester 2, we have cleared out the LCD screens running at Union House to avoid pointing students to events that may not be happening (confused students are not happy students!). So, if your collective will continue to run in Semester 2, please ensure that the details are correct on your promotional assets, update/check over your website calendar entries and let Comms know that's all done so we can re-upload your LCD screen!

6. Office Heaters — Get yours and beat the chill!

Is your office feeling a bit chilly lately? Did you know you can request a portable heater to help keep your space nice and toasty? If you're interested, please send an email here to arrange one.

7. Tastings 2022 — Coming soon! 

Tastings 2022 is running from 17 to 23 Sept! The Creative Arts OBs have started recruiting for a team of casuals to support the delivery of the event. All the roles and details can be found here. Please send this around to anyone you think may be suitable for the role, and put the Tastings dates into your calendar to make sure you can make it to everything!

8. UMSU Art Collection — Off to its new home!

ICMYI — In preparation for Arts Programs' move into the NSP, Arts Programs staff will be removing all works of art from the UMSU Art Collection hanging in Union House office spaces this week.

Every so often, Farrago receives a heartfelt email or message saying how much the magazine means to someone. Recently, we sent copies over to a contributor in India who has been very active in the illustration team. They reached out to let us know how much it meant to them to see their work in print! We've also had readers contact us out of the blue to express their admiration for deeply personal works in the magazine, and to ask that we pass on this appreciation to the artist. These messages are so wonderful to receive because it reminds us that what we do matters!

Legal — Crushin' it!

The Legal Service has been kicking goals with a recent win at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and a haymaker of a submission to the Residential Tenancies Commissioner's Rooming House project. Awesome work team!
