A smartphone, a prompt – and one heck of a deadline.

UMSU Creative Arts presents MOBILE MINUTES: A 24hr Film Project.

A call for screenwriters, actors, directors, filmmakers and lovers of moving image at ANY experience level to collaborate over 24 hours in the production of a short film – shot entirely on a smart phone.

 

The BRIEF:

12pm 20th JULY
Rowden White Library, Level 2 Union House

After a meet and greet, participants will be allocated into random groups nominating a writer, director, film crew roles and actors. Each group will be given provocations and sent off into the wilds of capturing the world… through the lens of their smart phone.
* All films are DUE not later than 4pm on the 21st to be edited. An editing team will be able to assist groups in the Rowden White Library from 3pm.
*ALL short films must be closed captioned

The SCREENING:

6:30pm 21st JULY
Student Bar, Level 1 Union House

All short films created in the project will be screened from 6:30pm in the Student Bar.
Join us for popcorn, cheap bevs, prizes and some movie screening magic!

All short films created will be eligible for a range of awards at Mudfest 2017, and will be screened during the festival as part of the moving image program.
