Map of Home

by Weiting Chen

Through visual art, Weiting share her memories at home, especially to those who must stay at home because of lockdown. Even though the place she lived in was very small, she treated every step as a small trip and daily routines soon became more interesting. The main drawing is a diagrammatic map of Weiting’s home, a summary of the trace she and her roommates left at home. Masks and sanitisers that they stored in the living room, games and toys that they played together, the shower room that Weiting used for vocal exercises… Is there any place in the map that you want to visit?

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners of the land upon which we live, work, and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
