PEP is a community of students working together for access, equity, and quality in higher education at the University of Melbourne.

PEP is split into three streams: Education Access; Education Equity; and Education Quality.

Each stream will research existing policy, write a policy response, before mounting a campaign. Within each stream there will be policy researchers, media monitors, education and outreach officers, and campaign organisers. There is also the opportunity to volunteer in social media across the Education Department.

PEP volunteers will present their work at a monthly Education Policy Forum, and will also have to opportunity to work alongside the Centre for the Study of Higher Education.

PEP aims to provide volunteers with training in :

    • policy research and writing;
    • campaign organising and lobbying;
    • media monitoring and communications;
    • education and outreach.

The current round of PEP applications has closed, but there will be another round. If you are a KEEN BEAN, email us at educationpublic@union.unimelb.edu.au and we can find a way for you to get involved 🙂
