Environmental Engineers Society

The Environmental Engineers’ Society is a community bringing together students who  are undertaking, planning to undertake, or simply interested in Environmental Engineering.  In affiliation with the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU) and the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), we aim to bring sustainability enthusiasts as well as industry partners together in a social,  friendly and motivating environment.

Our society engages in frequent activities such as study sessions, coffee catch-ups, industry nights and guest speakers, and community outings throughout the semesters to strengthen our bonds between members. Our society has also supported the formation of student projects such as the Regioneering program and Solar Hydroponics Project, and we aim to encourage the creation of more student-led projects in the future.

We encourage students from the Bachelor of Environmental Engineering Systems, Master of Environmental Engineering, and those who value producing solutions to problems that benefit both humans and the environment, to join our club!  

Club Aims:

1. To provide grounds for students studying environmental engineering to meet like-minded people in a social environment.
2. To provide a network base for younger students who are considering the course to gain an insight.
3. To allow students to interact with industry representatives.
4. To promote principles of sustainability through participating in community programs in affiliation with not-for-profit organisations.
5. To provide additional academic assistance to new students in the course.
