The PSS provides a network for physics students to share knowledge and ideas about physics, and to get to know other physics lovers! Membership is FREE and open to everyone!

  1. To promote the intellectual advancement of Physics and Physics students in the University.
  2. To support Physics students throughout their studies at the University.
  3. To provide an opportunity for like-minded students to apply Physics to the world through excursions, experiments, projects, et cetera.
  4. To raise general awareness of Physics.

Synchrotron Tour
24th August 10am - noon
Australian Synchrotron (800 Blackburn Rd, Clayton)
Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the Australian Synchrotron! Located in Clayton, Victoria, this stadium-sized particle accelerator uses a 3-gigaelectronvolt (3 GeV) storage ring to accelerate electrons to near the speed of light.
