FAQs

Most of our SummerFest events are being held in and around the Student Precinct located on UniMelb's Parkville campus. There are also events at the Southbank campus. Locations for all SummerFest events can be found on their Events Calendar listing.
We do recommend that all UMSU events have vegan, gluten free, halal options. We also recommend that allergens must be listed and labelled.

UMSU has implemented health and safety measures to ensure your safety and wellbeing at our events. Please note that these conditions of entry apply to everyone attending all UMSU in-person events and are subject to change in line with Public Health advice.

If you’re coming to campus, make sure you carefully read the UniMelb guidelines so you know your responsibilities to help us keep our campuses safe for everyone. Don’t come to campus if you are unwell. Find out more about coming to campus on the UniMelb coming to campus page.
Some events may require tickets. Tickets help us ensure we don't exceed any of our event capacities. We don't want anyone rocking up and being disappointed if the event is booked out, that would be a total bummer! You can find the ticketing link for an event on its calendar listing. Head on over to What's On.

If there are still spaces available on the day, you can still register for your ticket at the event's entry point too.
If you're no longer able to attend an event, you can request to return your ticket by contacting the event's organiser. You will find a 'Contact Event Organiser' button within your confirmation email that will allow you to do this.

Since some of our events have limited capacities, returning your ticket ensures that your spot can go to another student, so we'd highly recommend you do this as soon as you can.

It's a great way to make new friends, learn from our volunteer masters and get your head around the campus. Find out more here!
