ABOUT THE ROLE
George Paton Gallery Volunteers contribute to the success of our community by:
- Providing front-of-house support, including opening and closing the gallery, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the safety of artworks.
- Assisting with the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions.
- Engaging with visitors, offering information about current exhibitions and the gallery's mission.
- Supporting event planning and execution, such as openings, artist talks, and workshops.
- Performing administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and record-keeping.
You will receive support from the Arts Program Coordinator and the UMSU Arts Programs team. You'll also get to make new friends and learn skills in this welcoming and social environment. Please check out the volunteer role description for all the details.
ABOUT YOU
Your customer service experience, or your willingness to learn, will be greatly appreciated in the role of George Paton Gallery Volunteer. You'll be working alongside your peers to support an amazing creative community on campus. Days and hours are negotiable to suit your timetable.
