The George Paton Gallery, with its 50-year legacy, remains a cornerstone of student cultural life at the University of Melbourne. The gallery’s exhibition program foregrounds student voices and reflects the diversity, experimentation, and social engagement that characterise contemporary student practice. Through exhibitions, public programs, and curatorial opportunities, the gallery offers an inclusive platform for critical dialogue and creative risk-taking, reinforcing its role as a site where student ideas are visible, valued, and activated within the broader university context.
