Call For Applications

Our 2026 MPavilion collaboration is suitable for anyone with an interest in interdisciplinary practice as it emerges within visual arts contexts. If you have a desire to engage with the possibilities of movement and dance, performance and sculpture, textiles and making, production and curation, this program is for you!

Call out for University of Melbourne students to join artist Laura Banfield for the 2026 George Paton Gallery x MPavilion Parkville presentation. Working across performance, sculpture and video, Laura explores the entanglement of material and bodies through choreography, materials, and iterative experimentation. Drawing on her practice, Laura will lead a series of creative development workshops exploring body extension in the George Paton Gallery Arts Lab.

Over three days in May, students will present the outcomes of this collaborative process at MPavilion Parkville, making practice public.

This project is presented through a collaboration between MPavilion Parkville and the George Paton Gallery.
