We host events to create a platform for students looking to push for long-term change in the Asia-Pacific.

We exist to empower young people across the Asia-Pacific region to become agents of change and lead sustainable development in their communities. By investing in young, grassroots changemakers, Asia-Pacific Development Initiative (ADI) is collaboratively building a movement that drives long-term change for a more just and sustainable world.

At ADI, we raise awareness in the community by running programs and events, we lobby the government and fundraise for our overseas projects. At our club, we host a variety of events to bring together a community passionate about volunteering and empowering our peers to come together to make a difference.

Club Aims:

  1. Encourage government and community to adhere to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  2. Empower developing communities in the Asia-Pacific through fundraising and volunteering.
  3. Through youth-run activities, educate and empower youth at Melbourne University about issues of poverty and development in the Asia-Pacific region.
  4. To use the education of Melbourne University students as a platform to support campaigns and create initiatives aimed at ending extreme poverty and global injustice.
