Whether you identify as having a disability or not, the Disabilities Department is here to make university life more accessible and enjoyable for all students. We run collectives and organise a variety of events each semester aimed at fostering a sense of community, and educating the broader public about disability, invisible and visible, physical and mental. We have a Facebook group for Disabled-identifying people, carers and allies that you can join – UMSU Disabilities+Carers+Allies Group 2020.
Stacks more information is available in the Disabilities Department guide. Pop down for a chat with your Officers- Srishti and Hue Man, at our office on Level 1. You can also catch us at the newly refurbished Disabilities Space on Level 3, Union House. We have noodles and tea and loads of comfy beanbags!!!!
Chuck us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on our Facebook – UMSU Disabilities Department and tell us what will make your campus life better, and check out the resources we have down here.
