The Women’s Department exists to advocate for women and non-binary students on campus. We work to make the university a safe place for women and non-binary people, facilitate feminist activism, run campaigns, and host fun events! The department is run by Women’s Officers who are elected during the student elections the previous year.
This year, your Women’s Officer is Kraanti Agarwal (They/Them)
Our focus this year is to fight for Safety on Campus (Sign the petition here). We also want to make the Women’s Department more intersectional and inclusive, by centring the voices of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) students as well as trans and gender-diverse people who experience sexism, misogyny and other forms of gender-based discrimination.Feminism is beyond binary <3
Let’s smash the patriarchy together!
