Beta Alpha Psi is an international honour organisation primarily for students of accounting, finance, and information systems. Established in the United States in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi serves as a nexus for members to connect, give back to the community, and get professional development. The University of Melbourne chapter, Xi Lambda, was installed in May 2019. As a chapter, we host professional and personal development activities for our members. We also network and compete with other University chapters across Oceania and the United States in our global network.

Club Aims:

  • To serve as a nexus for students primarily in the commerce disciplines, by leveraging our Oceania and International networks. To do so, we provide professional development and social outreach (ethics and service) activities, motivating, and recognising academic excellence. These initiatives facilitate workplace readiness, credentialing, mentoring and employment, that positions members to succeed.
  • To promote interactions and connections between students from diverse cultural backgrounds, promoting cross-cultural understanding within the club and international opportunities for members.
  • To facilitate members to apply theoretical concepts learnt in their degrees in practical settings through case studies, competition, and employer assessment centres.
  • To provide resources and opportunities for continuous learning, including workshops and webinars, to keep members updated on industry trends.
  • To facilitate networking between current members and alumni, creating a valuable network for professional growth and mentorship after university.
