Burnley Student Association is seeking expressions of interest for two paid student contractors to co-teach fortnightly workshops in RStudio. The workshops will begin late April and run online on Thursday evenings from 4-6 pm. The sessions should cover basic data manipulation, plotting, and simple model building. Successful applicants will receive a rate of $65 hourly at the conclusion of the work completed. Below are the responsibilities of the instructors.
Applicants must:
- Be a student at the University of Melbourne,
- Have working rights in Australia,
- Be able to provide an invoice for work done,
- Have a superannuation account,
- Have their own equipment and software
Applicant qualifications:
- Competence in R and Rstudio, ideally with experience with dplyR and ggplot2,
- Familiarity with RMarkdown,
- Basic knowledge of statistical models,
- Experience teaching in small groups
Applications should be in the form of an Expression of Interest and include:
- A cover letter detailing your skills, experience and why you would like to be an instructor,
- A draft of a session tutorial in the form of an RMarkdown document
