Engineers Australia – University of Melbourne Chapter


We are the number one peak body in Australia for all engineering disciplines and have over 100,000 members both nationally and internationally.

We offer the opportunity to build knowledge and skills you need to jump start your career as an engineer. Student members get access to networking opportunities, technical events and career resources to help them do just that.

Why join Engineers Australia as a student member? We support student members by providing free membership that allows them to access events with professional members, learn skills to help them get jobs and support their career as an engineer.

Club Aims:

  1. To facilitate communication between students and the organisation charged with accrediting the education required for recognition as a professional engineer.
  2. To connect students to a national community and organisation for professional engineering skills development and networking opportunities.
  3. To provide a platform for multidisciplinary engagement within the University’s engineering faculty for students to develop universal engineering skills outside of thei course specialisation.
  4. To engage with students and industry to foster a more diverse and inclusive workforce within the engineering profession.
  5. To advise and prepare students so they may meet the requirements for achieving chartered status as a professional engineer in Australia.
  6. To inform and provide students with the resources available to them as a student or graduate member of Engineers Australia.
