Piano and Music Society

If you are a pianist, our society is the go-to community for opportunities to teach, learn, perform and mingle with other musicians from a whole range of levels and stylistic interests. However, our community welcomes more than just musos, with various social events catered to all lovers of music.

Our semesterly performance events include both casual, walk-in recitals and full-house concerts at the university’s grander venues, and feature music across every trend and niche—pop and traditional music from every continent,  game and film soundtracks, and the full suite of classical repertoire.

Club Aims:

  1. To provide pianists of varying proficiencies and stylistic backgrounds the opportunity to discuss and exchange feedback and collaborate
  2. To provide a platform for pianists to perform to larger audiences in both solo and group settings
  3. To offer non-musicians opportunities to learn piano from fellow students in classes that might tailor to their needs
  4. To promote the versatility and emotional scope of the pianoforte as an instrument beyond the usual music circles
  5. To offer experienced pianists opportunities to teach piano to fellow students
